  1. But when all is said and done she is one hell of a beautiful looking lady. Much nicer to look at than the Scotsman imo.
  2. i've got a few pictures of the Duchess Firbeck. I'll have to ask the better half to post em on here. I only live 25 yards from the track that she uses (Midland Rail Centre). Quite often she is right outside the back door waiting for the allclear to join the mainline for one of her trips. If you heard the noise she makes when she's letting off steam you`d realize its a pain in the backside sometimes.
  3. Can anyone remember this cheese? It was made by The Richmond Dairy who were located at the top of Ransom Road near the junction of Woodborough Road. Is it still made? Every now and then i have a craving for the stuff. And another thing, crusty cobs, where have they gone to? They are like rocking horse poo to get hold of nowadays.
  4. I`m glad you had a good day beefy and didn`t take the defeatist attitude. I`m off there myself next month, my son keeps nagging me into taking him and there is enough to see without the flying displays. !cheers!

  8. Was the themed pub called Venue 55.? Dire Straits played one of their first gigs there
  9. he certainly was but you wouldn`t let him babysit your kids
  10. It certainly was, i used to live there. Me and my mate used to rent a place together and then he went and got the job as the landlord of said pub, so he went and made me ass` manager so i could live there as well. I already had a job but used to work the odd night time for him and get paid for it, anyway the flat was on the roof of boots and thats how big the balcony was. The best bar was downstairs just as you walked in.

  19. I don`t want to sound disrespectful but they are not the only ones to die in a plane crash. Why should they be remembered above all others. Death hurts everybody it touches, but why should famous people seem to get more thought of than others.
  20. While we are on the subject of skeggie can you remember the dolphins that used to be there?
