  1. Sod Off, I aint giving any of mine back...No Way !!! I remember at Christmas being stuck in my house for 4 weeks cos of the ice and snow, its a good job I am a scrounging Pensioner and can afford to run a 4x4 or I would have starved, one of those weeks was even too much for the 4x4.....£250???? It only fills the diesel tank up twice that does. Owdtite, the biggest scrounging pensioner in Scotland.......
  2. I am sure the Ladies would prefer a Tiara than a heavy crown perched on their heads !! (Takes me back to my childhood again when my old Man used to say .."I'll crown you"!!!!)......... !rotfl! !rotfl! Owdtite.
  3. Hi Loppylugs, Sorry to hear about the loss of your best pal, I think you did right as its not fair to keep them in pain. My two old Gals are 11 and starting to slow down and have problems and I am dreading the day when I lose them. I am 63 and like you coudnt manage a young dog now as I struggle to walk myself at times but perhaps an old dog in the pound who needs a bit of love and attention maybe worth a try !! I cant really imagine life without dogs, I have always had them and love them all to bits. Owdtite.

  6. I think these days Mick its more to do with Dual Nationality and where your Parents and Grandparents were born..perhaps England (and Scotland) ought to find the best players in the world and offer them British Nationality....I think thats the only way that we could stand a chance of winning owt. Either that or get our youngsters brought up to scratch and give them a chance or finally, if all else fails then give the Ladies a chance!! (They cant do much worse can they?)... !!
  7. This is where most of my pocket money went...The Duchess of Atholl....plus a 4-6-2 Tanker...Had a terrific layout and sold it to a Guy from Hyson green for £200....I thought I was a millionaire with all that money but it brought me my first Motorbike...200cc Tiger Cub...oh happy days.. Owdtite.
  8. As you may have noticed, I keep going back to my childhood since I joined the Forum...Well here's another one for you....... I always looked forward to Saturday's because that was my Pocket Money Day...I coudnt wait and always got excited, sometimes I would blow the lot in one day or sometimes I would save it as I had a Hornby OO gauge layout and always wanted stuff for that so I would save up and when I had enough it would be a trip into Nottm on the 44 trolley and straight to Beecrofts or GeeDee's (?)and get the piece I wanted...... So when was your pocket money day and what did you do wit
  9. Another pub I was forced to sit outside was the "Commercial Inn" at Cotmanhay....My Dad would take me on Sunday Dinnertime so that Mum could have some time to herself and get the Sunday Roast ready..(in the days of male chauvanism)..lol.... We used to go and see my Uncle and Aunt who lived at Cotmanhay, my uncle was an ex miner and used to get loads of free coal and we used to relieve him of some on Sundays......This was another pub that was close to a road and I often wonder if it happened these days would I have been taken into care?? I honestly dont think it did us any harm at all, we wer

  16. 4-1 now, I might just shoot down to Heathrow to welcome them home.....not !!!! When are the UK going to get a decent team? Is it because we rely on Foreign players in the premiership and SPL instead of grooming our own kids???? Come on the new Coalition Govt, put more money into kids sports !! 18. So how many pubs shutting down can you put to the Smoking ban? The pub was always a place for the working Man to go to and relax and have a few pints and a good ten Woodbines....The worst thing they did when they brought in the smoking ban was to not allow the bar to be smoking and the best room to be non smoking...that way fairness prevails...the do-gooders of this country just dont know how much damage they are doing!!! Owdtite..
  19. For me it has to be the "King Billy" in Bulwell...good night out for 10 bob and straight into Sando's fish and chip shop after for pie and chips, plenty of salt and vinegar mind!!! Owdtite...!
  20. Up here in Caithness it is so, so, different regarding buses and politeness, everyone thanks the driver when they get off. This is mainly due to the fact that they dont have any "official" stops (except at the start and finish of the journey). If you are on a bus route all you have to do is put your hand out and the driver will stop and pick you up, and he will drop you off exactly where you want him to, even if this means him stopping in the middle of the A9 and holding up a bit of traffic for a few minutes. He will also help Pensioners and Young Mum's to get on board. Brilliant service and

Just to keep you up to date with the campaign.....Last Night we celebrated the number of members joining the Facebook page at 3000, this is a fantastic effort and I would like to thank everyone on here who has joined or signed the petition for us. We have had worldwide support, the petition is coming up to 2000 and then I think we will forward it to the new Minister for Transport.I have been looking at the possibility of taking the case to tribunal, normally Volunteers dont get that luxury but I have found a technicality that should allow us to proceed. I have contacted the acting CEO of the M
