  1. most of my teachers i did like and respect but there were a few i hated and i mean hated i dont forgive easily if someone realy upsets me and that still gose i have got a very stuburn streak and if i felt i have been done wrong by that person will always know it i tell them to there face what i think and why not call them to others and be nice to there face and if i dont like someone there is always a good reason and 9 times out of 10 i have been proved right.. and i am sure most of us in our school lives know a really nasty teacher who had a vicious streak even if they were ok to you becaus

  3. our friend do not have children . he says know he is 68you dont know how long you have got left so he is going to do it while he can having seen him riding his bikes all these years i have to agree with him hee is a good rider but some times he is a bit mad and takes too many riskes for my liking

  6. i used to go to school with pats younger brother steve. ida and her husband george lived on deabil st oposit our terreceused to run erands for ida sometimes, sandra wragg lived in burton joyce she used to work in the care home were my mum was it closed down and i think sandra retired then sheprobly still lives in burton joyce but have not seen her since mum died.. irene bush is familliar did she live godfrey sthad a much younger sister. idas family of swincoes lives lnw terrace remember them well. there were a couple of other swinsco fammilies in netherfield no relation as far as i know..thin

  9. i always say i have met more christian minded people outside church i am agnostic myself but other people are able to follow there own relidigions as long as they keep there views to themselfs..i dont like shoping if ican help it on a sunday. living very near the polish catholic church over the last couple of day have seen lots of polish families young and old comming and going to church to have there decorated eggs in fancy baskets blessed all the ladies and the children carried there baslets to church. whe i was young the polish couple peter and hanah who lived next door to us ,used to do
  10. i love mint jelly asda is about the only shop i can find it in now my motherin law used to make her ownand thats when i got the taste for it but have not got a resipy for it.
  11. me too a little bit but then again as i have a snake phobia id be very relucktant to go to any country with lots of snakes . said the trip was costing about 22 thousand for both of them not sure if that includes spending money or not but know quite a few flights involved going to places like sydney perth melbourn ect
  12. piggy is often given old photoes from biking days some of them realy need work on them before he can print them and put on display frames to put in bikers bar at the white heart but has not got the right programs can anybody recomend a good one thats free down load.
  13. friend of ours was telling me on wednessday he and his wife are going on a 3 month holiday just before christmasfirst stop two weeks in new zealand 9 weeks touring aus catching up with old friends on the way finishing with1 week in tialand to unwind befor flying home to england.nice for some in it.

  18. i also thought of another sheila from netherfield sheila tansley lived on hogkinson st same as loppy lugs she had elder brother ron who was a teddyboy mate of our rays whein you think of it there were a lot of girls called sheila living in netherfield around that time

  21. we had cooked breackfast at 10.30 cooked and served by dad . lunch 3pm after dad came home from the club tead about seven sandwiches cold meat from lunch red salmon or crab on very special ocassions or if we had visitors mums home made cakes and pies . then me and my younger brother had our bath tin bath in front of kitchen fire then up to bed by this time the bigger ones were usually out with there mates mum usually had her bath after we had got to bed and they were all out. bearing in mind noboby locked there dorrs in them days but if the kitchen curtains were closed nobody came in.
  22. batesy we used to get our home made faggots from hickingbottoms near bourns factory in netherfield tues and fridays i used to take my bowls into the shop on my way to school and the half crown to pay for them and pick them up after school there would be a quewe right upto cornerhouse cafe i used to walk past every one straight in the shop aand get served straight away how the people in the quewe used to moan. sometimes we had to wait a little while for them to come out the back great big pans full straight into a copper gas fired to keep them hotone large two pint oval enamel dis half pint d
