  3. The Jester on sneinton Dale has just been sold to the Hazrat Sultan Bahu Trust.It was sold for £400,000.
  4. In 1642 King Charles refused to stay at the Castle and instead stayed at Thurland Hall. Could this be the mansion?
  5. My Mother in law worked there early sixties but does not remember the name Gilbertson. My sister in law had her wedding reception there in 1968.

  9. Sorry Firbeck, i read it as the grotty pub was at Colwick woods. If you go on Google street view Carlton hill looks a likely candidate for the view of the painting.
