  3. GEDLING Borough Council wants to exclude parts of King George V Playing Field from a covenant in order to build a new leisure centre. The land in Arnold is a registered charity administered by the Charity Commission and Gedling Borough Council acts as its trustee. Don't know about anyone else but I am willing to bet that demolishing the stadium has absolutely nothing to do lack of funding but more to do with the fact that some mega rich property developer was more than generous to the local council in return for a nice piece of prime building land with a promise that there will be a few of the less desirable plots developed as affordable housing association properties leaving a nice big fat chunk of profit to redevelope another allegedly non profitable recreational plot of land.
  5. I totally agree, hospital parking charges are disgraceful. With the parking charges being as high as they are at QMC you would have thought there would have been some level of security to prevent thefts from cars but there isn't any that I have seen . All there is are signs stating the bleeding obvious about leaving valuables on show. There are a number of disabled only carparks which are handy for those who genuinely need them but I sometimes wonder how many carers /relatives abuse the system for their own appointments,

  9. The old Triumph Roadster would have been a little chilly in the winter it had what they called a Dickie Seat which came up out of the boot lid leaving backseat passengers open to the elements

  20. Many thanks micktome and cliff ton, you would have thought I'd have got the hang of it now but since Xmas my memory and span of attention has dwindled. As my old headmaster Mr Jackson at Richard Bonnington Primary school would say to my mum and dad on parents evening (lovely lad but must try harder) nothing changes lol
