  2. It's a good book I'm sure you'll enjoy browsing all the photos. Incidentally I presume the Mason's Arms was probably demolished before the year mentioned when the flats were built.
  3. In a book called "Nottingham Pubs" there's a section covering pubs Hyson Green to Bulwell and there's a photo of Mason's Arms, Church Street in 1972 and it states that the pub was replaced by a housing complex called Prince of Wales Court in 1992

  11. That's a good selection Michael. I've also got the majority of the "Dreamboats & Petticoats" compilation sets which have tracks from the 50's and early 60's.
  12. Quite a number of years ago I bought a box set (21 cds) called “Rock ‘n’ Roll Forever” from the now disappeared Selectadisc. I’m sure the many fans of this music would like it. The artists are Jerry Lee Lewis – Gene Vincent – Bill Haley – Duane Eddy – Elvis Presley – Ricky Nelson – Fats Domino – Carl Perkins – Chuck Berry – Bo Diddley – Buddy Holly – Wanda Jackson – Coasters – Johnny & The Hurricanes - Little Richard – Platters – Roy Orbison – Everly Bros – Charlie Rich – Bobby Vee and a compilation album of the aforementioned as well.   18. Maybe Fast Food outlets should have to make an extra charge for takeaways which could then be either given to the council for cleaning up the mess or returnable if the container is returned (like bottles used to be).

  21. I've just checked on Sky's TV Guide and it states Nottingham City so it must be the falcons.
  22. The BBC 1 "Country File" programme next Sunday, 14th June at 7pm comes from Nottinghamshire and includes Sherwood Forest and birdwatching in Nottingham (I presume this will be the falcons,)
  23. Blondie it does say "Names of living persons are not normally permitted". It doesn't say not allowed at all and presumably because of the achievements they have attained the council gave an exception.
