  1. You're a glutton for the high life CF. Enjoy your break and hope the weather stays kind for you mate.
  2. It's now 7.00pm and I've been perusing the TV mags on all channels. Come to the conclusion It's yet another crap day for Bank Holiday television. So we left the bloody thing off. Spent a lot of the morning editing a movie I made in 1989, when cruising the Llangollen canal. Bringing it up to date with captions etc and transferring to DVD. Still ! It was lovely to have a day off. These 7 day weekends are a drain, don't you think.
  3. It used to crease me up watching blokes struggling down the stairs to the car decks, with a sack truck loaded with trays and boxes of beer and wine. Always let them go in front of me in case they tripped. I couldn't be arsed, a box of wine was enough for me.
  4. When younger, I always thought G & S was a posh shop where likes of me didn't frequent. Now I know what they sold, I'm glad I never went in.

  12. Unfortunately not., it is over 50 years ago. The only thing I'm reasonably sure of, is that it's a well known name. So well known I can't remember it !
  13. CT, that building to which you refer, isn't that the one where you could buy snooker cues, among other things? I'm only guessing, as it was back in 1963 ish when I bought mine. Went down there with a mate ( Alan Roberts) from Bilborough depot.
  14. Sounds like something to get your claws into.
  15. Was she Pole ish ?
  16. I've always wanted a proper Breton cap.
  17. My lad once bought a baseball cap with a peak on either side. It had a caption saying, " I'm their leader, which way did they go?"
  18. He don't look anything like his "Wanted" posters.
