Well, got me Christmas dinner sorted out. Been to M & S and bought two turkey dinners complete with pigs in blankets. No farting about with 3 hour brussels etc. Just bung em in 'towd oven and hey presto ! Pair of saddoes or what !

Can't see why an unopened jar should'nt be alright, it's only sugar after all. Simplest thing is to taste a bit. If it tastes okay and no side effects then use it. If its sour or bitter then bin it. If your'e making jam tarts etc, the oven will put it right.

For some unknown, unexplained reason this song always reminds of driving on the A1 past Peterborough. And always the same area, when passing 'Kates Kabin' transport cafè at the A47 crossing. Passed that way thousands of times but can't figure a connection.

A few years ago I alighted the bus from Lewes at my stop and when the bus pulled away I waited for a gap in the traffic to cross the road safely. Suddenly, a car pulled up in the middle of the road and a very pretty young thing waved and beckoned me across the road. The traffic coming the opposite way saw what was happening and stopped as well. I raised my cap to both side to say 'thank you', but told 'er indoors' that I suddenly felt very, very old.
