Gibbo 04 188
Those rotters at Nestle are shrinking the Quality Street tins AND charging last years prices........scandalous!!!
poohbear 1,360
They've been doing that for the last ten years...
Michael Booth 7,364
Why do people buy them then?. If they stopped buying them, Nestle wouldn't do it.
poohbear 1,360
Tin width has stayed roughly the same but depth has lessened as has the weight of sweets.Folks will still buy because it's been the in thing for years...a tin of Q Street for Chrimbo. Trouble is the usual retail of around £10 has been slashed by the big five to around a fiver as a loss leader. They rely on profits from the whole manufacturers range to make up the difference. And like give away prices on Easter Eggs they know most punters will buy other goods once they have them in the shop.
