Cliff Ton 10,488
it was late 1950's it has a listing in the archives as chez Pierre 1959. I'm looking for the name of a Mr peters who apparently owned the place and possibly of Greek orgin. This might be the closest you'll get. According to Picture the Past, this is approx 1950s. It would be on the right, about opposite the car.
Guest
45,Bridlesmith gate, took away some of the wall behind bar no.2 in the Camelot club to find a hidden shop/stock area. Place was full of ladies hosery items circa '40's or '50's.

DJ360 6,734
I remember my Mum going to Chez Pierre with some people from where she worked, around 1960. I think she was quite looking forward to it, but came back unimpressed. Place was apparently in disarray, serving cold food and running out of basics like potatoes etc. Always stuck in my mind.
