  1. The proposed cost of 45p a unit of alcohol is not a tax. The extra money will go to the brewers & shops etc. I have a sneaking feeling the brewers are favouring this as many pubs have closed & the breweries are keen to recoup lost profits. The Govt have said this is to curb binge drinkers & yobbos etc. Take a look at countries where they have cheap booze & you don't see this probem there. Honestly, this is RIP OFF BRITAIN at it's best.

  4. I love Lincoln but the christmas Market ? No thanks. No where to park except the Park & Ride which last year cost £12.............I don't think so.   11. Funnily enough Pixie, we have two cats & one of them sits on the bedside cabinet every morning at 4am purring, he wants his breakfast ! So I wake mrs gus607 to go & feed em !

  13. I'm wide awake by 4am every day including weekends & hols, mostly up & about by 5am ish. I do like to be in bed no later than 10.30 though.
  14. Hate winter myself. Having to work in it is no pleasure I can assure you. Also people on modest or fixed incomes must dread winter too, eat or heat ? Ring any bells.?

  16. Tyre re-cutting is still done today. Two of my wagon tyres were re-cut last week. Commercial tyres are designed to be re-cut.

  19. From what I remember he was a supermarket manager for the Co-op, a mate of mine worked for him & he said he was a great bloke.
