Books of which i have hundreds (mostly factual) are becoming obsolete are'nt they,everything you want to know is on the internet,my books now are more or less ornaments,the Grandkids say get rid' grandad,but i cant do it,even the wife now says it,. It brought it home again with bubblewraps previous post,my 'Little OXFORD dictionary of Quotations' dont need it do i?

  5. Could have been the big house,corner of Davids lane and Bagnal rd,backing onto Stockhill lane,seem to remember reading it.

  11. I was the 'Granville' for 'Marsdens' up and the hills of old Bestwood est ,that also was hard work,and looking back i liken it to life ever since,thats had many ups and downs.

  17. 'NO MANS HEATH' and the 4 counties,that brings back memories Stephen, of my journeys to Brum before the M42, a pleasant drive in those days,took alot longer but did it matter? and yes a good place for the centre methinks.
