The building you refer to was there a lot longer than that - I remember seeing it. It was the station that was closed down in the 20's

Yes Carrington Station was on the corner of Gregory Blvd as you say. There was a newsagent there and at one time also a poodle parlour. The entrance to the station was at the side. The station closed in 1928.
