  1. I don't get upvotes on my iPad. I just get the choice of a heart or a green arrow. I just thought the arrow was a like and the heart was a love. I wish we had lots of options like on Facebook (like, love, funny, wow, sad, angry)
  2. You'll be fine, Catfan - at least the insulin needles are tiny... I hope the leg pain is under better control now xx.
  3. Brew, I suspect you are Max's superhero too!
  4. 'Birds'? Careful, Rog. You may get pecked!!
  5. There is more risk of infection for females who have catheters in place. Male catheters are further away from potential spread of infection!
  6. Don't suppose anyone else will have heard of this one... It's an elephant in a book by Dr Seuss called ''Horton hears a Who!' Horton is my kind of superhero!
  7. Hope the catheter will make you more comfortable, Catfan. Unlike some others on here, I don't think having a cat 'paddling / padding"' on your lap would be a good thing at the moment - wouldn't help the leg pain or those other sensitive areas! Love and prayers to you both, as always xx
  8. Rog, I thought 'ICE' referred to 'In case of emergency'. I'd need to call that number if I ever tried to use a trike like yours..... I just wouldn't feel safe. But each to their own ....
  9. Lizzie, you do look more like a 'younger sister' actually!
  10. I need another box of tissues now...... reading about your mam, made me think about mine..
  11. I used to take our children to a 'pram service' at a local Anglican Church when they were very small and they learnt to sing this, but I will always remember one of them getting the words wrong by singing very loudly .... "all creetles great and small". He didn't know the word "creatures" but he did know "beetles". We had this at my mum's funeral because she always loved the song and also because she was a very small 'creature' herself ....4' 7" when she died!
  12. Jill, yes that was the name of the theatre. I remember the corridors underneath that led to the dressing rooms where we had our 'greasepaint' put on. It was all very exciting
  13. Did any of you sing songs at Junior school like 'The British Grenadiers,' Hearts of Oak' and 'Linden Lea'? I can still remember all the words to the first two....
  14. That first song started with the words ''there's a tiny house, by a tiny stream... ' I used to do ballet and tap dancing and every year we did a display for friends and relatives in a theatre in George Street, Nottingham. I was once a blue toothbrush and did a tap dance to this song with another girl who was (of course) a pink toothbrush ....and I still like to make cloud pictures, usually when Paul is driving us somewhere. I don't lie down on the grass anymore.... it would be too difficult getting up again!!
  15. Sorry you're in hospital but pleased the morphine will be keeping the pain away. Love to you both xx
  16. Col, Haven't been to St Neots for 30 years or more. It has a bypass so we never have to pass through it . I remember it as quite pretty with a bridge crossing the river, but places change, so I expect I wouldn't recognise it now!
  17. Col, are you sure that they will agree with your meds?
  18. Love and prayers to your both xx
  19. With respect, Catfan, just because no-one publicly said they found some of the posts offensive, that doesn't mean they were OK with them. I believe there are several members who rarely post but still follow topics on the forum...
  20. I quite like instant tea, Lizzie, but I generally use Fair trade tea bags, usually Clipper
  21. Oh dear, Catfan, sorry to read that you've got more problems with your health. Keep the faith - He' will be there for you wherever you are xx. Love to Mrs C as well xx
  22. Lizzie, have you been taking aspirin?
  23. ....... or gnat's pee! i don't know why I bother using teabags, I think I'd be just as happy drinking milk and hot water!
