Beekay There was definitely a fair held around the market/Bulwell bogs area, I'm not absolutely clear but I would think 1958/59 ish. Walking back to Broxtowe, just beyond the bogs I seem to remember an air raid shelter which was well used when the fair was around.

Beekay, Sorry got the wrong opposite, I was thinking across from the pub frontage on Ilkeston Road. Glover's Oils was in a dilapidated old building, the owner's son was Jeremy Glover a well known national hunt jockey. The chippy was very good a regular haunt for us after a night out in Ilkeston, Mansfield or sometimes The Festival.

I was born in my aunts' house on Longmead Drive 75 years ago this week. When I was about 10 I used to catch the 18 bus from Trinity Square to Longmead and can remember clearly now sitting on the top deck and looking in the churchyard. During the journey there was a water works/pumping station somewhere near the junction of Hucknall Road and Haydn Road. The route then carried on to Edwards Lane and turned off into Alderton Road, at the crossroad with Longmead

RR, Since the restart I've watched all the Forest matches on my TV through iFollow Forest app. A code was issued to Forest season card holders in lieu of a refund, allowing access to all remaining matches this season.You can watch on any WiFi device I open it on a laptop and connect to my TV with an HDMI cable, commentary is by the the Radio Nottingham team, Hodge, Fray etc. I think that anyone can pay on a match by match basis £10. Make sure you've got a good signal and it's spot on.

Many years ago we went to St.eulalia, Ibiza, our holiday rep was a tallish slim blonde who told us the same about her mother. During our stay we later saw her in a rep's show or maybe it was a karaoke where she performed a brilliant rendition of 'Perfect' I wonder if it is the same lady?
