Those of you who had AZ did you have to wait 6 months after to get your booster? Everyone here who had Pfizer for first 2 jabs have had their booster but not sure if it was Pfizer again. They say AZ lasts longer than the others and thats why we have to wait for booster.It will be Pfizer.

Colly, glad everything went ok for you.Thats my problem not drinking enough water. I was told by the surgeon that I should drink at least 2 litres a day ( water I might add) I find it difficult sometimes especially if I'm busy or into something interesting but I have got it sussed. Take 4 half litres and divide them through a 12 hour day, 9-12, 12-3, 3-6, 6-9. It works if you concentrate or have an alarm of some sort. My sister in law almost died with taking a cocktail of pills. Fortunately my brother in law found her still asleep and had a job trying to wake her. She was taken to hospital where she was kept under surveillance for a while. She s a very hard worker but was pressured into doing what should have been a mans job ( heavy lifting ) her immediate boss bullied her. Typical 1st November day, dismal, grey almost dark and raining. Its almost become extinct as its not rained for months. Today is a bank holiday, All Saints Day which is massively celebrated here. I cant remember in U K whether this was celebrated or not. But being in a village theres a massive influx of " Stranieri" who come to vist the graves of their long lost relatives. The shops are full of crysanthimums which are considered flowers of the dead. Its also the start of the truffle season. Mum and dad met in the shipyard at Barrow in Furness. He was in one part and mum in another but kept going to where mum was working. The foreman was dads uncle and didnt like dad keep going out to seek mum. One day as dad passed him he told him that if he kept this meeting up he would land himself in trouble, he also told mum a similar thing but mum replied with the retort I well knew " time will tell then won't it". When we lived in Nottingham I always fed the birds and loved watching them from the kitchen window. Since we've been here we dont see a great mix of birds. Lizzie join the Ryanair haters club. Sorry about what happened but fortunately no one was hurt. Years ago in Venice my penfriend was robbed of the contents of her handbag. Strangely though my dad was filming and taking photos. One minute the camera caught her bag closed the next minute the bag was open. We said afterwards that we didnt go near enough to anyone for them to pinch.

Public places and very little attention to customers health. My husband went to a new bar that only opened the other day. He came back home livid. The new proprietor had a mask curled up on her elbow, no green pass asked for. Was asked ( politely) why was she wearing her mask on her arm. Then came the answer, she didnt believe in it ( why wear the mask on your arm?) She wasn't vaccinated and said she didnt ask for customers green pass either so was carrying on a business irresponsibly. Tell me in a village is this a good idea seeing as we have a few covid cases? I watch our tv on news 24. 5.30-6.00 pm the update is reported. They also give updates for the various regions which is helpful for people that have to travel. The green pass demonstrations etc apparently went smoother than expected and people were queueing to get vaccinated. So something is working, thank goodness. Our cases are about 2500 per day and 20-40 deaths. The ports are packed but moving slightly.

Carni hope you get your booster soon. We are having to wait 6 months after second vaccination so anxiously await the call. Hope you are on the way to complete recovery but along with the problems you have had it will take its time and hopefully doesnt take its toll out of you. Look after yourselves. All the best.

Letsavagoo, So sorry to hear you have been unwell and hope you will have a speedy recovery.. We tend to think if we dont hear the word Corona Virus, it has slipped into oblivion. Its only when we hear about someone close or just an aquaintance it really brings it home to check your own " not feeling very well". Keep well and I hope the same for your grandchildren. A pertinent question, have you been vaccinated? Sorry but I wondered as most seem to have been vaccinated in UK.

Saw that UK cases are still rising fairly rapidly in UK. I hope everyone is ok and not taking any risks. As regards vaccinations UK was well ahead and we thought by now you would be quite low with new cases. It seems that no one seems to be taking it seriously judging by the photos we see. Today regarding green pass has come into force for work places. Those that dont have it dont work and dont get paid. There are demonstrations everywhere but on the news just now in various interviews people have thought twice and are getting their first vaccination and therefore entitled to the pass. In fact
