  1. It's probably a silly question, but what are the chances of partners re-infecting each other? Thinking of you Carni, take care.
  2. On Boden Street, on the corner of Clifford Street, I think that used be the bakers. Above the entrance door was a big Hovis sign. There used to be a gate at the side of the shop where you could reverse a small delivery van in. That's where we used go in to meet our school chum. Used to get plenty of stale cakes.
  3. Coming down Boden Street on same side as the bank, about four shops down there used to be a lovely bakers, who baked their own bread at the back. I went to school with a young lad who lived there. I think the shop was Hurds. We spent many happy hours in the yard at the back where the ovens were. The aroma was intoxicating, with fresh bread etc. They also used to make cakes and a firm favourite with locals was "Nelson squares", which were brilliant hot or cold, you could put custard on them for a pudding or pack them up for your 'snap'. That's where we used to get our Salmon paste or potted mea
  4. In actual fact Mary, up until about 12 years ago, before I started having a 3mm haircut, Tina used to perm my hair as it's normally straight. If left a couple of days, it would look like a chip pan, all lank. Perming it used to put some life into it. Then we tried trimming it and the rest is history. Having short hair is easier to manage and I ain't been to a barber for years.
  5. Thinking of you Carni, hope it doesn't get too bad. Get well soon miduck, you're my only contact in the West Midlands. Take care both of you. Barrie.xx
  6. Pity you didn't leave about a metre of the trunk, you could have put a small dish on it for a bird bath. Unless of course it wasn't thick enough.
  7. Brew, can you offer any advice regarding Amazon prime? I have absolutely no idea what it is, how much it costs etc. Is there a difference between Amazon and Amazon Prime or is it the same as ordering from Morrisons, Iceland etc? Please forgive my ignorance.
  8. PP, surely there must be an easier way to escape ? Have you considered smuggling out in a laundry basket?
  9. AG, maybe now you look just like your Avatar If you notice, he has one eye closed.
  10. To have HAIR extensions, one needs some hair to fit them to. At 3mm long I've decided to have a perm or maybe plaits. Wouldn't want a ponytail, that would make me look like a saddo. Do you have any perm rollers, the size of chicken bones?
  11. A whole new meaning to, "The boys in blue". Mary1947! I do have hair albeit only 3mm long. Wouldn't take much of a rinse. I could have some of Margies leftovers.
  12. Perhaps you can also provide some hay bales Phil, from those vast plains of yours?
  13. Looks like it could turn out to be a Lockdown 'Hoedown', now who is learning the banjo? And maybe Pianoman can play accompaniment.
  14. Marvellous, my stools weren't good enough when I brought em up, a few posts ago. Even offered to paint em. Would my ballet pumps be in order?
  15. Deep Purple, int that a rock group? Can't see Margie wanting them on her shoulders. I'll have a blue rinse Mary.
  16. Margie, Not wishing to be pedantic, but I think you'll find the Babycham beast was a Chamois, ( you know, where 'chummy leathers come from). Can you still get it , by the way?
