  1. I've just had a look on Google at AR15 rifle images. Why the bloody hell would anybody want to tote one those cannons? Ayeup, you sound like a one man army with all your different guns. Glad you're on my side! Not gonna make any comment on events stateside as I don't know the facts. Only see what the media want me to see. Take care pal. B.
  2. Don't say never Gem, we, none of us know what the future holds. Once this dreadful pandemic is hopefully sorted, things can only improve. You could meet Ben on one of your wheelchair safaris. Who knows, I might even come up and paint one of your stools/chairs. I certainly would like to meet Ben, might even consider buying him a coffee in Weatherspoons. Always assuming I could get a bank loan. Hope you're reading this Ben. B.
  3. As per normal Ayeup, we only ever get half the story. Usually the bits they want you to see. B.
  4. My thoughts are with you Ben. Gotta admit, two weeks ago I were terrified but things are improving. As previously stated, there are people on here, who have more serious ailments which pale mine into insignificance. Very best wishes mate and my sincere respects. B.
  5. Trust all the answers satisfy radford dreads question.
  6. Late again Sue. Have just checked and yes, patient is breathing and doing as well as expected. Drove for the first time today. Thank you for asking.x
  7. The front row look like a rogues gallery...or police line up. (Berridge hit squad ?).
  8. Gem, have you ever considered a small trailer with a ramp? That way a heavy wheelchair could be pushed up the ramp and secured. Even an electric wheelchair could be rolled up without any pushing. Just a thought, and cheaper than a new car.
  9. With the exception of my recent expedition to Brighton hospital, I have now been isolating for 164 days. Like a lot of us, I'm guilty of the ultimate crime. I got old !
  10. Why doesn't he rejoin under a different Avatar Rob,? like a new member. Or is that not possible.
  11. Ever considered opening your own 'Watch Lab', then you could fix other people's watches.
  12. I attended Radford Boulevard, but it appears nobody else did.
  13. He lived a few doors up from my in laws.
  14. Many thanks for your enquiry Nonna. Yes, I'm still here albeit very tired, progressing though. Only recently started perusing NS properly, but as most of it is none of my business, I don't interfere. The reason it shows I'm always online is because I never sign off. (Did it on one tablet but was still online on another device). There are some on here with a lot more ailments than me. My deepest respects to them. I remember a saying that was once told me....."I complained of having no shoes....until I saw a man with no feet"!
  15. Well, are you ? (Looking back a few posts I now realise and understand your thread. Please forgive me butting in).
  16. Phil, if you're referring to the CV19 test, I had to have one before being allowed from Haywards Heath to Brighton hospitals. It was bloody awful ! With this long swab, the nurse promised to try and avoid the gag reflex area at the back of my throat. After that, with the same end she pushed it up my nostril to a point I would never have thought it could go that far. When finished, I remarked that when you see the test being done through car windows, they don't tell how unpleasant it is. She replied, " No, if they did nobody would have it done"!
  17. It were dramatic enough for me !! Scared me witless Still very tired and afraid to do owt..
  18. Ayup, I had both mash can and gas mask bag when I worked at Bestwood pit. You can still get the mash cans and enamel mugs but they tend to be in trendy shops and camping shops. Not cheap nowadays. I'd like to get me hands on one so I can decorate it, when I'm a bit better. Stay safe.
  19. Said it afore and I'll say it again. Your kind thoughts and posts are as good as any medicine. They have lifted me out of feeling depressed and scared. I know it sounds rather cheesey but my sincere thanks to all. Nonna, if you're reading this, it was more than bits of metal, "that churn were bloody heavy".(I think humping that around brought on 1st Attack).
  20. Sincerest thanks and gratitude to all of you for your kind words. Good night and God Bless.
  21. How's my day?....... Well, I've just got back from Brighton hospital, via Haywards Heath hospital after having a HEART ATTACK !! Who would have thought it. After having a rather large Angiogram I had another stent fitted..Now I have forest up and take it for a few days. It's 16 years since my last stents so can't complain. All for now, I'm very tired.
  22. I had a mate when at SPD who simply loved fruit cake sandwiches. When going in Bobbers mill cafe, he would order fried egg sarnie with a splash of tomato. He called it a........ "Tampax sandwich", I kid you not.
