Cross the road to Oak and end up in Monkey or Scotts Greys. Just recalled another shop on Main street junction with Highbury Vale Roses the shoe shop, amazing what memories a few old photos bring back. I believe that the Lion Revived was previously known as the Robinsons Hill club.

Willow wilson 894
There's a pub called Top House on Bardney rd. Was that the old Cooper's Arms when Commercial road went as far as Blenheim rd? Or is it a different pub. It's all changed so much since I was last up there.

catfan 14,793
See how the market traders stacked up the boxes on the road ? I was driving a 44 bus one Saturday afternoon & when negotiating the market I accidentally clipped the boxes on the road & sent a load of fruit & veg flying ! The road was normally kept clear after that.

Willow wilson 894
I learned to drive in a Victor. The original model, which had bullet ended bumpers and 2 little missiles on the front of the bonnet. 3 gear column change. After riding around in Dad's 1100cc sidevalve Hillman it was a real goer.
