nnsc replied to mick2me's topic in Questions about use of Forums?
I am on the map, wrong address, but then I've not updated. -
I'm so sorry, maybe next time!

Whilst returning from Madeira on Monday, I took this shot from my seat, just realised that Wilkinson Street and the old Gerards factory are seen just below the front bottom of the engine!

Just about remember this match. I think it ended 1-1.

Your name sir does ring a distant bell. I was at Glade Hill from 1962 - 1967.

My family moved to a then brand new house on Mosswood Crescent in 1962. We always thought that the land where the woods sit was called Glade Hill. Incidentally I went to Glade Hill school on Chippenham Road, which would be sited somewhere to the bottom right, off the photo.

Is this from the 1930's as the Whitemoor estate appears to be new? Great picture by the way. -

The only 2 songs that The Beatles sang in German were, 'She Loves You' and 'I Want To Hold Your Hand'. 'My Bonnie' had a German intro but was sung by Tony Sheridan with The Beatles backing him. -
Here's a description of 'Prospect Place' which incidentally is where my ggggranddad was from.

I also worked at Vedonis from 1974 to 1979, although from 78 to 79 it was run by 'Davenports Knitwear'. The building in the middle was the works canteen which didn't have the shrubbery in front of it when I was there. Incidentally, what year is the photo from?

The Hurt Locker - easily the worst film that I have ever seen!

'You've Got To Hide Your Love Away' from the LP Help! would have fit nicely onto 'Rubber Soul'. -

Back to the thread - The shop in Broad Marsh Chulla is called 'Fopp'. I recently started to get my 4 year old grand daughter to pick any LP that is on sale in the shop. Obviously she doesn't know anything about the records but its good fun watching what she picks, unfortuneatly what she has picked so far hasn't set my musical taste buds on fire yet. The one below is the best so far! I have quite a few records but as to their value I really do not know. -
As it was a really nice day yesterday I decided to take a few shots around town.

Well I never, I didn't realise!

Hi plantfit, I took part in a company challenge in 2012 for 3 months. I achieved an average of, in that 3 months 22000 steps per day which at times was extremely difficult to achieve. The route attached got me 28000 steps in a day that I achieved just over 50000 steps which was my PB. Incidentally that total was dwarfed by some people!
