Like Lizzie Ms husband I well remember free school meals in the 60s & 60s. A dinner ticket with “FREE” stamped across the ticket & even sitting on separate tables in the dining room away from the kids who paid for their dinner. A few years ago I met a young single mum who had two kids & we worked out that she was better off on benefits than I was working full time, hard to believe but true. Being a single parent myself a few years ago struggling to bring up my two kids was very difficult in many ways including financial issues. I never claimed benefits just worked full time & a second job at the weekends to make ends meet. Before anyone suggests I have an axe to grind, well I don't, I brought my kids up through my own endeavours with no handouts. Both kids grew up with decent jobs nowadays, hard work pays. Many young parents don't have a clue, usually brought up on benefits as children themselves. The cycle of benefit dependence needs to be broken.

Cancel the SKY subscription. Don't pay £50 per month for the latest iPhone & give up the fags. That way if you have kids you will be able to feed them yourself without expecting anyone else to pay to feed them for you.

That is the reason labour were trounced at the recent elections. The majority of UK citizens wanted Brexit & the Tories fulfilled their promise to deliver. Let's be honest labour have no credible leader to lead them anywhere. Early days I know but the FTSE has risen since Brexit, 3% today & the £ is gaining value everyday. Time will tell just how the country should prosper.

How different would a labour govt have handled things ? Remembering hindsight is a wonderful thing.

At one time i had to self inject, well Mrs C injected me cos I could not do it & could not see what I was doing. My old needles were put in a sharps container prescribed by the doctor & handed i at the local health centre when full. Thankfully nowadays is a thing of the past.
