Worked at bell fruit in the early 70s....Lenton....Was forced into meeting Paper Lace too many times as the drummers dad was our charge hand....cant think of his name just now...we called him 'slothead' cos of the parting on his head and hey it was a fruit machine place....He lived up Mapperley near Porchester rd.

  8. He Lived in Chilwell ( was one o the kids I used to knock around with ) and he was a year behind me in school 'Henry Mellish'......havent seen him since about 72....just got in touch thru 'Friends Reunited' last week ...Small world eh ??

  12. I used to go swimming there with school ( henry mellish ..just up the road )....I remember it was the first baths i ever saw with the water polo nets hanging up in the roof......got a dinner time job in the chippy just up the road too.
  13. Didnt think anyone else remembered these......excellent girl band got all their cd's and some vinyls Remember the boat club very well..fell off the balcony a few times too......then also got in without paying a few times that way. the the Silver Slipper once every month

The way i do it is instead of copying off the camera ...I hilight all of the pics on the camera then right click....and CUT....then PASTE them to the designated place on the computer then they automatically delete off the camera once copied over....that way my camera is empty and ready for use agen and i havent used up the batteries.

  17. I recorded the theme music to coronation street onto audio tape ( something easily recognisable ) and played it with the windows open in the afternoon so folk thought i had a video.

Hi....I am assuming that you have tried this but as no-one has mentioned it i thought i would........To get space back on 'c' drive ( i do this about every month )...open 'my computer ' ...right click on the 'c' drive and click properties....when you see the pie chart, next to that is disk cleanup..click on that..when its done its little scan...at the top there is a tap called 'more options...click that....and click the bottom one....system restore....itll wipe em all off except the last good one.....then click yes and let it do the cleanup........gets loadsa space back on the 'c' drive.......

  20. As a kid growing up in chilwell we could hear the speedway...think it was thursday nights....used to go as i grew up to watch the 'stock car racing'

How many folk can remember the old Quarry at chilwell off the top of field lane...the entrance was off the corner at the bottom of School Lane ( not that us kids would go round to the entrance )....one quirk that all us kids knew about was the old Barton Double Decker that was parked in it with a family living in it.....I remember going to see it as the quarry was filled in...they just buried the bus....so its still there. ( this has to be late 60s early 70s )
