My grandfather(mother's father) was a miner at Wollaton colliery all his working life he was born in 1887 Gate Street Radford Woodhouse. -

My favourite books in my collection are the directories I have 20 the earliest being 1832(White). I have Nine Kelly's earliest 1891 latest 1953. These books a a great source of "information" & a good solver of arguements on line

Where I live now(Old Basford) 1955(ish) for all the railways that were there then The train spotting would have ben good with al the line still in place -

About £7 - £8 He had load the last time I was there There are some via Abe books apparently the hardest one to get is volume 20. Oxfam on Market Street had a few on Friday
