  1. Definitely makes a visit to York a must, I had no idea it existed. We visit York twice a year once for the Dolls House Fair the other just to wander, won't mention to hubby why I want to visit or I will end up going by myself. Gem
  2. Just read the article I thought if he had slimmed down he would have had more chance of looking like Beckham, I wear glasses. When reading other items in the paper I came across a house for sale in Edwalton, out of this world when I find an odd million or two I will buy it.
  3. Didn't appeal to everyone, some of the comments have given me more ideas, especially Chullas wimpering dog. My friends say i am downright morbid i also have a victorian Mourning establisment which will soon be joined by an undertakers. Gem
  4. Thank you Chulla, its not to everyone's taste but its part of life, as to your comment about the lillies they were to big to sit on the top of the coffin. My daughter arranged the flowers under protest she also thinks its creepy, my youngest grandaughter says it should be put in the attic or the bin. My family have no taste.
  5. TBI the tree in Newcastle is donated from Bergen the reason being that they are twinned cities, always a lovely tree.

  7. Did they turn the old general into flats and build around it, was Saturday meeting place for hubby and his mates.

  13. 8 months later he loves himself a real little attention hound, that was the first photo we took of Ben we will take one more to keep when he is ready to go. We take pics over his time with us and send them away, we took one when he went to the cenotaph had hubbys medals and a poppy on his coat we sent that one to our son.

  19. Nothing to do with ankles, just wanted to tell you that thanks to your advice on Bens noise problem he no longer has a problem. Yesterday he was up front with other dogs just sat there when guns were fired, i also put your advice on our website where it has been followed. Gem
  20. Maybe not an actual work if art but a beautiful oil on canvas of my grandaughters Great Dane by very talented artist Dave Moore.

  22. Chulla, here I am thinking I have the only person who still has clothes from the sixties, his is are drape jackets and there is no way he goes out in them.
  23. John Collier off Friar Gate was his choice of tailor for his drape suits, also used Lord John and Burtons.
  24. We were in wetherspoons yesterday when they had a visit from "Tim" he wandered around and spoke to a number of drinkers a pleasant man. He came towards us when he saw Ben, asked what kind of service dog he was my friends grandaughter (5) said its on his coat can you see. While telling him she got down on the floor to point it out, my friend went red, he just laughed and said he would know the next time.
