There are very little shops there now Poohbear. I walk past there almost daily and it's very lifeless, looking at the pictures from PTP makes me very envious to have lived during that time! I think the yellow lines though are for parents when picking up kids from school, there's two primary schools close by and it would be too tight to get down if they all parked there!

I'm off to Mablethorpe weather depending sometime in the next two weeks with my nephew. Love it there. Much prefer Mablethorpe to Skegness.

Some interesting thoughts floating around on this thread. Needless to say, I won nothing. My Dad on the other hand was much luckier, horse was placed and he won on a couple of races before/after the National so got a decent return!

Can fully understand why people don't bet as I suppose it is cruel, however, with the new restriction on the amount of times a horse can be 'whipped' I have betted. Does break my heart when I hear a horse has been put down though, although it may seem hypocritical of me to say. I used to bet on a fair few odd races but now only bet on the National and a few footie bets Who are you backing Lizzie?
