  3. @mary1947, in respect of your post above, the ladies are accompanied by a group called Celtic Thunder. They are brilliant ! As soon as I go on my pc I will post some of their music. At present I am listening to favourite movie themes in 16D, with headphones on, while I compile more questions for my quiz night in April.
  4. That's a cracking link CT., loads of great pictures on there. With some interesting comments and posts.
  5. Changing the subject a tad. @DJ360, if your'e out there reading this, can you kindly explain to me, in laymans terms, the process of 8D etc music? Iv'e just hit upon this on you tube while looking for stereo tests. Got my headphones on and I was astounded at the difference in sound quality. I have never heard of this before and would like to find out more. There was these different music tests with 8D, 12D and onwards. A whole different world of music and tempts me to buy better cans. B.
  6. Why does nobody ever mention Nelson Eddy and Jeanette McDonald?
  7. Nobody asked me but Iv'e been on Amlodipine 10mg since I don't know when. Along with a load of others, if you want the names. ( Also, Trulicity injection once a week).
  8. Talking of Woodentops, did you know, the very first episode of The Bill was called Woodentops. Just saying.
  9. Probably another bloody coffee bar or burger/pizza joint.
  10. Phil, do you need a good Harpooner? 'Er indoors used to work on a whaling fleet, out of Whitby. ( Before she worked for Fellows, Morton and Clayton, carrying pottery out of Stoke.)
  11. Hey up Oz., the programe was on Channel 4 on Freeview. Don't know how your tv system works, but it was on the main channels. It's on Thursday nights and in three parts. You should be able to get it on Internet All4 app. Your servant sir... ( last night was about Shirebrook colliery).
  12. If your'e not on FB, it's like putting you on the horse but not letting you ride. Oh what have I missed.

  14. Watched the 1984 Miners strike. Brought back memories as got caught up in it. ( Got caught in the 70s one as well. When I were at SPD).
  15. @Oztalgian, G'day Oz, crackin' song mate, enjoyed listening. Thank you, have a great day.
  16. And if you shoot one, is it called Haggicide?
  17. Nah Phil, your'e thinking of Natalie Wood.
  18. Will be thinking of you Brew and your brother. I know how you must be feeling. I lost my older brother to a stroke and I was led to believe that a stroke was contributing factor to my son passing away when he was only 23 years old. My sincere regards to you both mate. Barrie.
  19. You and me both Phil. Always found him to ba sanctimonious hypocrite, especially after seeing him on a programe with daughter ( or stepdaughter). Whenever she pointed anything out, if it did'nt meet with his train of thought he would poo-poo everything she said and just dismiss it.
  20. My practice nurse once told me that it would help my diabetese if I could lose some weight and so she referred me to a dietician. I gave it a try for a couple times but jacked it in. My nurse asked why I'd stopped and I explained that the last thing I needed was anorexic matchstick telling me I was overweight..
  21. From what I remember Trogg, it always looked crystal clear, even back in the 50s. When visiting my Grandma, on Commercial road, I used to walk down to the bogs and dangle me little feet in the water before crossing the footbridge to play on the swings. Can't say what it was like for contamination in later years though, although when I lived up Sellars Wood road in the mid 80s, it appeared to be pleasant enough. Not been near those steps for 36years.
  22. Following on Brew... By the sign of the swing cymbal, Just above the clashing rock, I stood there in me undies, While admiring my longest.... Smock.
