  2. You will know Firbeck rd and Plantation rd then Caz? and The Balloon Pub which goes by the name of The Wollaton Arms now...rumours are that the Wollaton arms is being demolished soon. The Balloon pub is a Indian Restaurant called the Spice ??????? last time i passed the old Balloon pub was the Wollaton Arms and the old Gondola was an Indian restaurant called spice .

  10. I did have a roast beef Sunday dinner in the Broad oak not that long ago and the food was spot on its a Hardy's & Hanson's pub . That one on Glaisdale Drive opened as the Milestone owned by Bankks brewery , it was then called the Poachers Pocket , i believe its just called the Poacher now , on passing i can't say Ive ever seen anyone in or a car in the car park ! Pelican i was in there Boxing day night , Jim superb gaffa , knows how to control the locals .

Pete Blood lives not far from me not seen him in a while he was working has a tree doctor and fell out of a tree which paralyzed him , he spent some time out in Russia having some treatment from some Russian circus strongman who had , had the same type injuries as him , and regained some feeling and movement . I believe it was Bulwells Reg Perry who helped raise money to send him , they had a big due at the commodore with Barry St.Ives and loads of other Nottm acts. Stu Morris below .
