Bip 88
Ok no prizes for naming him. This is a two part Question - During WW11, he was a pilot with the Royal Canadian air force, my first question is, Who did he fly on their Honeymoon ? He hosted a number of game shows, for instance, Double your money Opportunity knocks The sky's the limit Which other did he host in 1973.

mary1947 2,090
Did not want to stat a new thread so do you know who this is? He is one of the best comedian's every. His talks about every day things? He has traveled all around the world performing. He has been performing for 50years He has been dianosed with "Parkinsons" So he has decided to hang up his boots (Banana Boots) Watched on TV the other night "ITS BEEN A PLEASURE" GOOD NIGHT GOD BLESS TO ONE OF THE BEST EVER FUNNYMAN.; BILLY CONNOLLY. 2
radfordred 6,284
I don't find Billy Connolly at all funny I do have trouble understanding what he’s saying?
philmayfield 6,206
He may tell some amusing stories but I don't find him spontaneously witty. The current worst, so called, comedian has got to be Michael Macintyre.
benjamin1945 16,215
Always thought Billy very funny..the only comic that could F and blind and still be funny,,,suppose we all different Red,,,,when i worked in Glasgow for some reason i could understand them...well most anyway ......
radfordred 6,284
I like clever comedy like Frank Skinner & his ad libs, genius, big fan of Paul Merton & his spontaneous wit.
HSR 286
While I have nothing against people who can handle a fart in a spacesuit.. Easier for Skinner, his chat show was brilliant in comparison to Norton & Ross. Nottingham themed, had a chat with fat Bob in the Pelham St Cookie Club.
LizzieM 9,519
I just LOVE Billy Connolly, the funniest man on TV in the past 30 years. I’ve seen him live on stage a couple of times and so pleased I did because he won’t be performing anymore. Peter Kay, another comedian who we might not see again, is another big favourite of mine. All the rest of ‘em are rubbish and don’t even make me smile nevermind laugh.
Cliff Ton 10,490
I can watch Peter Kay (on television) as a solo performer and he's not bad, but I think his Phoenix Nights is one of the best comedy series ever created.
Deepdene Boy 642
Milton Jones is the best of the current crop. Some may find his humour "off the wall", but he had me in stitches dt Northampton's Derngate Theatre back in 2012/3 and he didn't need to swear to do so. (Not that swearing bothers me).
mary1947 2,090
Must admit don't like to hear people swear. There's a time and place for every thing. When I first went to see Billy Connolly master told me that he would swear, but I got use to him swearing as, when he did swear it seemed to fit into his jokes perfectly. My eldest son came home from school and started swearing , now I know most men swear in other mens company, but I never heard my dad or husband swear. . So of i go to the school to speak to the headmaster, Well you learn something new every day, the headmaster gave me a lesson in swear words. It seems that our swear words are good old fashined word's going way way back in our history. (i did'nt know that) Sorry!! but I still don't like to hear awear words no matter how far they go back.
