i think the generation of the sixties, born just after the war and teenagers during that decade, had the best of times, for once no war conscription finished, money available as never before and the music, aaahhh the music, never before or since,has there been such an explosion of brilliantly magical music, as we see today the world is changing, not for the better, we, the post war kids, have had the best of times, i feel greatly priviledged to have lived through this time.

I am of the age of the dividing line,my brothers older than me get bus passes ,retirement at 65 my age so many things have been withdrawn to,,pay for lax immigration ,liberal law, blah blah blah,totally umfair,I have worked all my life too,

A good standard of public toilets in the Square in the 60s. Am I right in thinking they've disappeared now?

I can remember them - I often had a wash and brush up there after work before going on a date.....

As with lots of other public toilets

There are now only THREE in the whole of the city centre. :(

Broad Marsh centre

Victoria Centre

Greyhound Street.

Not for getting Broadmarsh Bus Station, but I think you have to pay. Personally I try to avoid public toilets where possible If I take short I just nip into the nearest pub.......good excuse for another swift half.
