Ayupmeducks 1,730
Me to Mick, no safety harnesses either total rank amateurs, should have full safety harness plus "grilla grips" while climbing. Used to make me nervous working on top of the skips at Boulby with full safety harness, 3/4 mile vertical drop down the shaft.
Michael Booth 7,364
That's all part of the thrill though, Ayupmeducks. I have to smile at their need for a safety helmet, it's really going to protect them as they hit the floor.
loppylugs 8,429
Probably 'elf an safety require the helmets. :-)
BilboroughShirley 1,120
A team trained by Fred Dibnah in the past perhaps? Great views from the top and not a selfie stick in sight!

poohbear 1,360
If it's illegal to risk serious injury or death, by not taking proper measures with a back up safety harness....ie car seat belts.....Where's the difference?
catfan 14,793
I feel quite ill looking at that, first 15 seconds anyway !

It's not the fall that kills you anyway. It's the sudden stop at the bottom
NewBasfordlad 3,599
Looking at the first clip those safety helmets are of a design used by rock climbers and at least one was wearing climbing breeks. After all have you seen the French lady free climber no ropes or tackle of any kind, just a bag of dust to stop her hands sweating. She makes that look like a walk in the park
FLY2 10,109
If I'd had to listen to the 'music' on #1 much longer , I'd definitely jump.
