Just had notice that a hugh light brown cat with three foot body and similar tail has been spotted in the ponds area of the village carrying a coot in its mouth. Police have been notified and people warned to keep children away from the area. Great excitement. Just going to get my gun as first line of defence. Is the silly season finally here?

In this area we have had sightings over the past 40 years of the 'fen tiger' which is supposed to actually be a puma.  When they were young, our two boys and their friends used to go out cycling on the fen roads looking for it - very exciting

Just been e mailed by the parish council and they appear to be in a state of high alert regarding the "cat". Good to know that we've got people out there to protect us. Our large ginger cat has a smile on its face but I can't find any coot feathers.
