  1. An endocrinologist actually admitted to a friend of mine that GPs are mostly completely ignorant about thyroid issues and cause a lot of problems for him. It has also been my experience, as a hypothyroid patient, that GPs know very little about the subject...and they certainly don't like it when their patients have researched their own condition! Tough. It's my thyroid and I want to know everything possible about its activities, or lack thereof.

  3. So did we, I remember drying my socks on them in that bad winter of 1963 when the snow was so deep it came over the top of my wellygogs yet we still went to school, not like the snowflakes (pun intended) of today as school get cancelled if there is an inch of snow.

  4. Barrie, Florence is my favourite city of anywhere I’ve ever been. Do you know where she stayed to take the photo? I have been many times with my History of Art daughter which for me is like having your personal tour guide. I would love to see the finished product.

  5. This is the project I'm working on at present. i'm doing a 12 x 14" canvas painting for my dear sister-in-law who lives in Stapleford. Photograph of the Duomo, Florence that she took when visiting last year. Will post the finished work, if anyone is interested.
