  5. For such a main road, there was not many pubs at all.
  6. I have used the 2nd program that Ayupmeducks linked to and it took me about 10 minutes, I got all the photos, so a job well done. But I am still baffled.
  7. There are lots of programs that can do this I am just hoping that someone has a bit of experience doing it. It is like anything, easy if you know what you are doing. This wouldnt have been a problem before, as she normally takes her laptop with her, but this time took a tablet.
  8. This is a couple of photos that I have taken. AT bottom left it says no files. After clicking properties it shows this, it still says no files but shows data on the disc.
  9. I have tried the disc in 2 laptops, and an external hard drive, all show nothing.
  10. Limey, looking at the disc the inner third is a darker shade than the outer, when I tried the disc recovery program, it found 28 files that were shown as pictures, the picture sizes were all there and different, and the time that the picture were taken was shown that corresponded to when she was on the jet ski. I am confident that the pictures are on the disc, but as for getting them I dont know what else to do.
  11. Mick, there are no files shown at all, I have even checked for hidden files.
  12. Has anyone any experience of cd recovery. My daughter bought a cd that contained some photos of her and her friend on a jet ski last week in Turkey, she watched the man do the disc and everything seemed ok, on putting the disc into the computer. it says that there is about 188mb of data, but it does not show any files. I tried a program called isobuster, this seemed to find 28 files that were pictures. I cant see the pictures, they want $50.00 to enable different functions on the program so that I can see them.
  13. My daughter works in a care home in Beeston, she did 2 years at college before getting an apprenticeship in health care, she loves her job and is still studying now for another NVQ. She is nearly 22, and earns not much more than the minimum wage, she holds a lot of responsibility and is classed as a senior care assistant. She often goes in on her days off, she likes to look after the ladies, she does there nails and hair, and makes sure that they look nice with matching clothes. She is lucky that she works in a smalller home where they have time to look after the residents. The downside to
  14. There has been a small independent discount shop on the High road for a couple of years, I wonder how long they will last now.
  15. The transformers are visible on streetview I tried a link but it did not work.
  16. Mick, the brick building that you can see in the streetview photo, is the climbing centre. I think the building was something to do with the trolley buses years ago. The large transformers are next to that.
  17. Mick the building to the left of the gala bingo on the streetview shown is now an indoor climbing centre, to the side of that is some large transformers, that were possibly something to do with the early tram, but I think that if the transformers were related to the tram they would have been removed years ago
  18. The large building above the water towers shown on the 2nd map posted by cliff is now the gala bingo, what was it originally? Regarding the water towers, is it possible that it was connected to the brickworks that are shown on the map, possibly by an underground pipeline? The water towers are not shown on a 1899 map.
  19. Reading this on the Mails website. Is it in the Meadows, near to what was Mundella school? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2610182/Disused-meat-factory-transformed-one-greenest-homes-Britain-complete-water-bottle-walls-wood-shaving-toilet-vegetable-patch-solar-panels.html

  22. Cliff ton, the map you posted shows the location of the properties, but it is the row of houses above it, they run between the 2 small streets. Here is the link to the sellers. http://www.waltonandallen.co.uk/index.cfm?event=page.property&id=s593
  23. Cliff ton, yes that is them, they must be taller at the back, I will try and get the sellers details tomorrow.
