  16. The Bagthorpe rota was originally time tested with new buses for one man operation. As a consequence afterwards the Bagthorpe rota representatives demanded new buses on that rota. A practice that annoyed many drivers on NCT, myself being one of them, When Bulwell depot went part one man operation in May '75, routes 44 & 71 we were allocated buses 160 - 184, Daimler fleetlines, we thought it was Christmas & our birthdays together. Bulwell had never had buses only two years old before.
  17. I watched as a woman in Tesco today was refused two trays of tinned tomatoes at the checkout.. Panic buyers causing most of the problems. Had a text from my pharmacy to collect my fourteen prescription items including 75mg aspirin. You could always quarter a regular 500mg aspirin. Not 75mg I know but it won't do any harm, if used for blood thinning purposes.
  18. I bought my first TV license In 15 years when I moved here. Cost £7.50 per year. I won't bother next year I think we have watched less than one hour & that wasn't the BBC. Talking of the BBC I hope it goes subscription then those who constantly praise it can pay for it.
