Cantrell Road. -
Some scumbag tried to snatch my 10 year old granddaughter's bag as she walked to school this morning. If you live in the Bulwell area tell your kids to be on the alert. Scruffy mid 30s wearing a track suit.

1965. Caving and climbing and would you believe clubbing in and around Buxton in Derbyshire. One weekend met the love of my life. It took me 6 years to get her to the altar and I still have her. Colin -
Ashley I think the aqueduct your referring to is the Bullbridge Aqueduct demolished around 1968 when the A 38 became an upgraded feeder for the M1. Colin

Spent a lot of time in Matlock Bath in the mid 60's. The caving club I belonged to had a hostel at 1 South Parade, used to be a bank. I am struggling to remember a canal bridge though. As far as I know the canal ran along side the A6 at low level on the right as you went towards Matlock Bath. Colin

The episode I worked on had scenes shot beside the Grantham canal at Hickling. Can't remember much of the storyline but they were in a tent and a shotgun was discharged. Colin

Re#15. Spuds are just spuds. By god sir that's heresy. For new spuds try Red Duke of York or Lady Christl or if you like weird Purple Majesty. Chips try Lady Christl left in the ground to grow on or Picasso. You can't buy em in the shops so will have to grow them yourself but never again will you say 'spuds are just spuds'. Colin -

Down Chard Street, start at Rosetta Road, have a lookout posted at Zulu Road crossing. With a bit of luck could get all the way down to Isandula Road. Colin -
Mary I to have heard the story about the hanging of game. I didn't give it much credence do to the fact there could be no better way of attracting the attentions of the Old Bill. As to whether its is correct I am sure someone will explain. Colin

I don't have clear memories of my very early life but do remember one incident. Whitemoor nursery having a tantrum, throwing a wooden building block through a window, painful legs. Colin

Bit of a strange year in the garden. With the cold start it didn't bode well, then a complete turn around. Both freezers are full to bursting with goodies to last until next season. Colin

I don't know the answer to this one but I am fairly sure bans of any kind don't work. Prohibition in the 20th century being a prime example. Drugs in this day and age another. It would seem to me that there is a firearms crime every hour of every day here in the UK. The Mac 10 fully auto seems to be mentioned more and more and this type of firearm has been banned for private ownership since the 1920s. The only good thing about the ban here was the Labour government tried to sweeten the pill by paying well over the odds for the guns and all accessories they had to buy in. Sad world we live

#55 Yes most certainly I am sure you will recall when its mentioned. Handguns banned 1997. 2010 Cumbria taxi driver Derrick Bird murdered 12 innocent people with a shotgun and a .22rf self loading rifle. Another bit of info for you the years 2010 to 2011 saw 11,227 recorded firearms offence's. Home office figures. Colin
