  1. #784 Do you think Ben has a blue "for a boy" liberty bodice.
  2. Better not close down before i get there.
  3. When my mum used watch people on t.v waving their arms around when talking she would say " if they had to sit on their hands they would be dumb".
  4. Catfan thank you, followed your link read the information and we have booked for the end of may. Looking forward to my visit. Gem
  5. Catfan #62 Thank you for the picture will give them a try. Would you be kind enough to recommend a first class hotel looked on line but not sure where they are in Skegness. Many thanks in advance. Gem
  6. We are going to Goth weekend in Whitby near the end of April then onto Nottingham to visit relatives. THEN going to Skegness hubby says he doesn't know what I am expecting so i will keep an open mind.
  7. #54 Lizzie Never more than once . they could have sent you to South Shields slightly better. The Northumberland coast has some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. If you ever visit the north east coast there are also castles and churches to see. Weather permitting. I do not work for the tourist board LOL
  8. I have never been to Skegness !!!!!!
  9. R.E.A.D there is nothing that anyone can say that will help or ease the pain hat you both are going through, we are here to listen and give any help or comfort that we can. If there is no one that you feel you can turn to, strangers can be a great comfort. My thoughts are with you live every day that you have together to its fullest. Gem
  10. I have a friend who adds 5 years to her age just to hear people tell her how good she looks for her age. Now me when anybody says how old are you my hearing suddenly goes.
  11. All these so called clebrities who go on tv asking for your money for everthing from food to blankets "do they get paid". Now that would really pee me off.
  12. Charity shops just want as much as they can get with no thought to the financial problems of those that shop there. You can buy a new child t/shirt in Primark cheaper than in a certain "charity shop". A friends daughter donated her wedding dress it went on sale at more than she paid, she bought it from a high street wedding shop from a range that they hire out then sell after cleaning. Now all my charity items go to PDSA.
  13. I would prefer a fresh cream cake to a dinner any day of the week, nothing better than to see your tooth marks in the Lurpak butter. I blame my parents and grandparent who used their sugar rations for me as a child. I have on occasions tried to give up eating so many sweet things but when will power was handed out i was in the sweet shop.
  14. Hope your immersion wasnt followed by visit to the vet.
  15. Chulla, We visited Bulwell last year sat by the river it was a nice day then a stroll around market area. Then the stupid dog fell in the river. Gem
  16. Obviously a gentlemans liberty bodice - no suspenders.
  17. What about "she/he owns the room" got to be one of the stupidest ever.

Margie, like trogg I lurked for a long time mainly because everyone seemed to know each other, also thought that I would have nothing to offer that would interest anyone else. Still not a prolific poster but try to check in at least every couple of days.
  19. Another New Basford lad (hubby) is in complete agreement.
  20. What happens if husband and wife each have account on the same email address. Sorry if it seems a bit of a silly question.
  21. This is for the sentimental ladies among us - type liberty bodice 1950s in search engine - you get not only liberty bodice but lots of pictures and adverts that cover our childhood, brought back many happy memories of shopping. Gem

    Aye Up

I lurked for a long time, but once you sign on the dotted line in your hooked.
  23. Brew - hubbys grandad sent him to the Eland "little window at the side" when that was shut he went to Sadies. Great times.
  24. Fly - try being a sunderland supporter now that's a joke.
