I HAD some business to sort FOR the Police a few months ago,and went to what is now used as a canteen as requested,took me 30 mins trying to get their attention,using their outside phone and my own mobile,finally a PCSO turned up who was bloody useless, Silly of me really,should have gone to Morrisons theres usually loads of so called proper Coppers there ,using their canteen.

Amazing to think a very small area of any part of Nottingham conjers up so many memories,....ie Mansfield rd between Forest rd down to Fulforth st,ate in the 'Elbow' bought two cars and worked in two shops,Farrands and Northern Dairies. I reckon you could take a 200 yard stretch of almost any street/road and the same would apply.

  18. FLY2 160,.................Think we've mentioned it before but it is now driving me up the wall,that speak inflection or upspeak as i call it,its not just the youngsters now,i heard a politician using it the other day,one of my wifes friends also uses it and shes in her 50s.

  21. LIKE it Ian,...ive never worked outside in the driving rain and dare not catch a Rat,but the kids say the same about me,.........when i gab to random strangers or wear my new Ties with matching hankys,you have to be brave sometimes don't you,.........takes all sorts to be Bulwell don't it.lol.
