I AM SURE the Nottingham accent has changed,we use many of the same phrases and words,but to me our kids and Grandkids sound very different from our parents and Grandparents,my hearing like most other things aint what it was but i struggle more to hear excactly what the young ones are on about.

YOU are right bilbraborn football was more exciting then,players seemed to play with more freedom,and did'nt seem to have to conform to strict game plans,hence the entertainers such as Duncan Mckensie,Jim baxter,Peter Osgood,Alan Hudson,Tony Currie, and going further back Eddie Bailey,Tom Finney not forgetting the greatest of them all George Best.............ah great footballers in the truest sense.

I DON'T know the facts and figures but we seem to have alot of armed Police in Nottingham,it was armed Police chasing that burglar in Hucknall i mentioned and a couple of times i had armed ones turn up for Shoplifters,i also notice them when in Morrisons Bulwell where they seem to go for breakfeast or are they 'Tasers'?
