This would take some digging out back @ my Mums , but i had a Malibu dog bowl membership card & it would have been around 78/79 if i remember it had 2 floors , a freestyle area with humps & bumps a few half pipes ramps and then the massive bowl. Not sure if it was owned or rented or ran by a punk who was quite big & good on skateboarding scene in the UK @ the time, sure his name was Nick ? It also had a skate shop inside spent a chunk of my paper round money on some pro 7 wheels which where the dogs @ the time. It was on the next corner up from priory island D*rby Rd.
  8. Some years ago I bought a set of Metrinch spanners. It was claimed that the would turn rounded nuts and bolts, as the drive on the flat not the corner of the nut! Anyone else got some? Mick?
  9. The best thing about the Sol Pelicanos was this woman who every hour within the hour patrolled the pool & removed every unoccupied towel , she was Brilliant, she took no sh1t.

Thinking back it was quite an eventful jollies chased & caught a pickpocket who dipped an old fellow pushing a wheelchair , witnessed a drunk getting turned over by some African prostitutes , a young paralytic jock couple with a very small baby in a pram having a domestic in the street about 2am , in turn being forcefully arrested & the baby being shipped of in a different car! The entertainment in the bars was good too! The view of the pool from my room think it was 612.

  14. Well I've been there a few times , but not for a few years always stayed @ Sol Pelicanos , the last few times noticed an massive influx of stag @ hen parties @ the weekends probably due to the cheap flights ?
