Don't know about carbon footprint but I left several muddy footprints on the kitchen floor when I dashed in wearing my wellies, to turn the gas off!

The pan is now sitting in a concentrated solution of Sodium Hydroxide in an attempt to salvage it :)

I did think of offering the remains as a "Barbeque" dinner, but it wasn't sufficiently burnt!

A burnt rice pudding is just as good, you can't beat scraping round the bowl for the burnt bits stuck to the sides

Love home made rice pud when its like that, sprinkled with abit of nutmeg and served with a dolop of jam, lovely! .... Might go make some for tonights pudding!

I'm thinking that Compo must be a creme-brulee specialist! (Only desert I know of that requires the use of a blow-torch!)

Reminds me of the old gag about Japanese quality control. They write to their British customer, "We do not understand your British way of business, but since you specify maximum 5% defective parts we have enclosed these, packing them separately for your convenience." !

Mind you, if you were thinking of ditching those on the left, you can always put them in a jiffy bag and send them down to South Devon...they look OK to me!

I managed to make toast today - without having to scrape the resulting blackness. First time in ages :)
