Could remember walking down a wide paved road to the bullring and admiring the statues. You’ve jogged my memory, Ann, That is, if we’re right! Correct Ann and AfferGorrit. We had a really fabulous day up in Ronda on Tuesday. The intention was to catch a little train from San Roque to Ronda but when we arrived at the station we were told that the heavy rain they’ve had down there recently had damaged the railway line and although it’s been repaired it hasn’t been ‘signed off’ by the authority so isn’t open again yet. We drove up to Ronda from there and decided we’d go on a little tourist train around the town. That train isn’t running any more, something to do with ‘politics’! We weren’t having a good train day. Instead we had a tour in a horse-drawn carriage which was very enjoyable. Went into the bull-ring museum, bit of lunch in the Parador Hotel overlooking the deep gorge and then drove back the shorter way down to the coast to our friends place. We’ve had a good trip, plenty of eating, drinking and relaxing in warm sunshine. Marbella Old Town looked fantastic last night with beautifully decorated houses and restaurants on May Day. Shame we’ve come back to grey skies and cool weather!

Beekay 5,271
Margie I never said owt of the sort. Merely pay homage to the fair City and great county. We allus enjoy driving through on our way to Norfolk. Prefer this route to going up the boring A12 through Essex. You find abetter class of tree around Elvden and Thetford..

philmayfield 6,289
Tomorrow is World Naked Gardening Day as advised by Compo. Temperature round here will be around ten C. I’ll be clearing out a greenhouse ready for the tomato plants. Shouldn’t be too bad in there with the door closed.

Not really sure what posh means anyway - I treat everyone the same (and I once refused an invitation to a Buckingham Palace Garden Party because I couldn't be bothered to find something half-decent to wear!)
