  4. You only need to visit Ypres, & walk through the Museum to see & hear the worst of the atrocities of war. To be at the Menin Gate at 8pm for the reveille, the feel of the place evokes such strong sentiments & feelings, especially after the museum visit...........I'm not ashamed to say it moved this fat old lump to tears, the first time. It's continued to do the same on subsequent visits, the story of Ypres pretty much sums up the sheer waste & futility of war..............but bl**dy Hell we did it all again 21 years later......................

  10. Whilst on holiday last week, met a lady called Kim, who's family apparently owned a few shops on Denman Street in the 60's/70's/80's. The family name was King, anyone remember them? & what shops they had...................

    One of the great characters in politics, but almost unelectable because of it, bit like Boris Johnson I suppose................

  17. I used to catch the 15 & the 15A, when going to the Becket School, or catch the 43 trolleybus & walk along the embankment & over the suspension bridge (cheaper ride)
  18. I met him on a few occasions, very down to earth lovely man, sadly missed by many in Nottingham, no matter who you supported, RIP Tony.
