  2. My mum had a 'home job', all us kids had to do our bit!! one job was putting hairnets onto cardboard circles.................mind numbing, we did thousands, they were everywhere in the house for weeks

  15. Radford baths was our school swimming day venue, always having some excuse not to go!! Hence I was 42 before I learnt to swim...............
  16. Great topic Compo lad!!...................Wrates were the photographers at Mablethorpe, but I also recall another firm in direct competition with Wrates (stripey blazers), or am I mistaken??? Photo's would be displayed in a round booth at the top of the Pullover??
  17. Hi Karlton, # 15, I knew Dave from my teenage years, what a character..................ferrets an' all!! persuaded me to spend my last two bob on some liver for his bloody ferrets!! Ask him about the late night chicken raid on Melbourne park allotments............................
