  1. Welcome to Nottstalgia, trogg. I look forward to reading your posts and sharing your memories. When I saw that this thread was called 'Confession' I thought it was started by Benjamin1945 who was confessing to still being a virgin well into his 20's.
  2. I'd have thought that after eight days there'd be someone to answer his question.
  3. Welcome to Nottstalgia, Ray. I look forward to reading your posts and sharing your memories.
  4. Welcome to Nottstalgia, granemill07. I look forward to reading your posts and sharing your memories.
  5. It always cheers me up when I see that you're in a good mood, FLY2.
  6. Really pleased to learn that Paul is over his illness, Margie and I hope that you'll both enjoy your few days break.
  7. Happy Anniversary, annswabey, It was very romantic to get married on Valentine's day.
  8. Todays Nottingham Post has this article about the people who worked at Raleigh during the 60's, including an interesting video. http://www.nottinghampost.com/see-what-working-at-raleigh-in-the-1960s-was-really-like/story-30128979-detail/story.html
  9. Nice post, carni. It's good to see something about the history of Nottingham.
  10. FLY2, If you go to 'Pre 50's Nottingham' then 'WW2 Nottingham & Nottinghamshire' you'll see some photos etc that I put on.
  11. I enjoyed watching the series Nottingham Now And Then and saw my Dad on a photo. I was surprised to see the photo because I had the same one and wondered where they'd got theirs from. There were four men in the Auxiliary Fire Service on the photo so I wondered if it was a member of one of their families who'd sent it in. I also enjoy watching the local news items. I find that there are quite a lot of repeats on Notts TV.
  12. I agree, katyjay. Since joining Nottstalgia and learning all about the Flying Horse I've regretted never visiting the place.
  13. I came on a few minutes ago and saw all the names. I was astonished to see them as I thought the list was Members who were logged in. All these people still up at this time of night, haha. I soon realised that it was probably Members who'd logged into Nottstalgia today.
  14. When I listen to a 4 year old pianist play like this I wonder whether she's had a previous life on Earth. The usual people will say it's a load of rubbish, and maybe it is, but the truth is, none of us will know what happens until it's our turn.
  15. You can't beat a bit of banter, Robin King.
  16. I've just read this topic for the first time and I've not stopped laughing at all the comments. I should have stopped laughing by now and it's started the alarm bells ringing.
  17. Welcome to Nottstalgia, Mugfaker. I look forward to reading your posts and sharing your memories.
  18. You won't believe this, chaps. I also had my wedding reception at the church hall on Nottingham Road.
  19. Here's another one, Kirstypops. There's some really good photos of the Elizabethan Ballroom and restaurant which were upstairs. Again, just click on the title.
  20. Welcome to Nottstalgia, Kirstypops. I look forward to reading your posts and sharing your memories. Regarding the Co-op, there's lots of stuff on Nottstalgia so you can spend the cold evenings searching for it all. Here is a thread to start you off. Just click on 'Reply to Does any one remember'
  21. I've just seen the posts from carni and Chulla and I'm so pleased with your results.
  22. Thanks for the wedding invitation, benjamin (#11). If I can't make it please put my name down for the next one.
  23. The less said about Benjamin's wobbly finger the better, FLY2, Haha.
