  3. I've got to agree with compo #4 chip cooked in beef dripping were the best. Mermaid Chip Shop Front street Arnold did them in beef dripping and another chippy long since gone from Arnold can't remember the name but they were on Church Street Arnold opposite the Robin Hood and Little John

  5. I remember an old friend telling me about an experience he had while delivering heating fuel some years ago. Apparently he pulled up for the night in a pub carpark shall we say in the west coast of the UK he proceed to order a pint of the local brew and a meal unusually this caused the locals to speak a foreign language and for the remainder of the evening was made as welcome as a fart in a space suit.   12. Hi carni I suppose it all depends where in Cornwall you happen to be we had a very good signal in new quay. Last year apologies if beefsteak knows better,all I was doing was trying to save you money. If the signal turned out not to be brilliant all you would have lost is £2.99 for a days data to find out because as I said I would have sent you my spare dongle. Hi Carni I've heard that The 3 Networks signal has a wider coverage than most and Argos sell the little wireless dongles for around £20 failing that depending when you go I have a spare dongle with 3 network sim fitted that you could borrow so all you have to do is buy a top up voucher for it Let me know if I can help Paul

Metropole, thats a blast from the past. as a kid we lived up Calverton Road next door to Richard Bonnington School and from my bedroom window i could see that big Metropole neon sign light up the sky.
