  1. Right now, yes. You can still get Iced Gems, but Lincolns drowned without trace when Crawford's Carlisle factory flooded out on 13th November 2009. By a poignant coincidence my Mam passed away the same day, and i always associate Lincoln biscuits with returning back from shopping trips with Mam.
  2. Got to disagree with you on that one Ian, I was always partial to a packet of Iced Gems
  3. Lincoln biscuits. they were my favourites
  4. Ian Scanlon, Arthur Mann, Ray O'Brien, Eric McManus, Ian Muir
  5. David, yes I can remember that, would have been one spring or summer Saturday evening that I looked round it. We ere on our way back to Clifton having spent the day at my Nan's in Bilborough. We would have got off the 60 in Angel Row and would have been walking through to Broad Marsh via Slab Square.
  6. I remember Keith Weller playing in a pair of white tights for Leicester City back in 1978/9
  7. Tick all the above boxes. COYP
  8. Sad to say we are doomed. Time and effort should now be spent on putting together a side that can challenge to get Notts out of the National League and back into the Football League at the earliest possible opportunity. Hate to think that this time next year we could be struggling to avoid relegation to National League North, as Chestrfield currently are following relegation last season.
  9. Lizzie, wow, I can't believe John Holmes is still at Radio Nottingham. I remember him doing the lunchtime show back in the early 70s.
  10. Ian, easy answer to the third one, cos she can't get the dried on egg yolk off your shirt before it starts raining. Simples.
  11. Ian, not a Renown though, an ex East Yorkshire Motor Services AEC Bridgemaster. The small window in front of the entrance is the give away clue.
  12. I always thought that an oxymoron was somebody who couldn't make gravy
  13. I shall be having mine, you can take the boy out of Nottingham.....
  14. If we do drop into the National League, there is no guarantee we would do well next season. I see Chesterfield are only one place and two points above the relegation zone.
  15. Jill, I suspect that your sister was just one of many. Dad always did this too. First pantomime that at I went to see at the Theatre Royal starred Harry Worth in Babes in the Wood, would have been 1969, 1970 or 1971.
  16. Den, yes the club's official title is Clifton All Whites FC, as per their Nottinghamshire FA registration. The FA also accepted this as they were listed as Clifton All Whites in the FA Vase draw.
  17. The way things are going, I might have to start following Clifton All Whites
  18. Stephen Ford is still alive and well. He posted on the Old Bus Photos forum on Saturday. Incidentally Catfan has been conspicuous by his absence lately, does anybody now why?
  19. Barrie, the 22 used to have its terminus at the bottom of Deepdene Way
  20. Barrie, if you wear at Bilborough in the mid to late 60s, you must have known my Dad, Clive Johnson.
  21. I went to Glapton school, started in the infants in September 1970, left the junior school July 1977. Played for the school football team 1976/77, won the league, unbeaten, and we drew in the county cup final and the trophy was shared. No penalty shootouts back then.
