Thank you all for your kind thoughts. Now that the chemotherapy has ended I am virtually back where I was before; being normal and not really aware of my cancer condition except for little things that

Right then Miducks. Today my Cardioligist has given me the news I didn't dare hope for. All of my tests results are good and I start reducing a lot of the Heart Meds over the next two weeks. Starting

My last report (page 31, post 770) had my PSA number down to 10.7. It had shot up to 61 before the horse pills (Enzalutamide) arrested its upward trend. Today I went for a routine visit to oncology at

Well It's been a long day today. Out of bed at 2.30am daughter & son in law picked us up at 7am. Got booked in & went in the theatre at 9.30. Procedure finished at 11.30. Spent five hours on a recovery ward, not allowed to move & stay flat on back.

Got discharged so we wendled our way from the bowels of east block QMC to the main entrance, quite a walk. BUT, no leg pain, no leg ache ! Yesterday the same walk would have taken a lot longer keep having to stop for rest. So looks like the medics have cracked my problem !

I cannot fault the treatment & service I got at the QMC, you would not get better if you went "Private".

I am now resting in bed at home, battered & bruised & Mrs Catfan is "Fussing" like she does. When I suggested to my daughter to drop us at Wetherspoons in Bulwell on the way home Mrs Catfan went mental. No ale for you Catfan, ah well it was worth a try !

Right then Nottstalgians, again my warmest thanks to you all for your kind messages of support, it really means a lot to us not so healthy Nottstalgians !

God bless you all, Catfan.

Had a lovely quiet Christmas day, just the two of us, then boxing day we decided to have a ride into town to get a few bits & pieces from one of the big hardware stores.

Just got out the car and walked into the entrance when my wife said she felt a bit funny, as we got inside she went down like a ton of bricks onto the floor !

With the help of a couple of passers by we got her into a recovery position, and called an ambulance, by this time she was having a major seizure of some sort.

She then passed out completely and I was now panicking and a complete mess too ! One of the ladies was an ex nurse and she was really good holding my wife and checking her vital signs.

The ambulance arrived after about 15 mins, and immediately set to work on her and she then regained semi consciousness but was unaware what or where she was.

They got her to the hospital where she recovered more, by this time the doctors had done many tests but could find no actual cause !

Her heart was fine and apart from a rapid pulse came good pretty quickly, all following tests proved inconclusive, they kept her for observation all day then she was allowed home.

She now has to await to see a cardiologist and vascular specialist to see if she has any blockages anywhere. The only conclusion so far is a TIA or mini stroke, or maybe sudden BP drop as she stood up to walk to the store.

Fingers crossed it is nothing serious, they have put her on asprin every day in case it was a TIA !

We now await further tests etc. but she seems to have come back to her fully normal self, albeit I am driving her mad following her everywhere, just in case.

Will remember this boxing day !
