The tent is up......

Recommended Posts

Well, the tent is now up in the garden and I am all ready for my annual New Year's Eve under canvass. It is blowing quite hard out there but it is not too cold. Last year the tent was frozen by midnight - here's hoping that it doesn't happen this year :)

It is something of a tradition with me. Ever since I lived in Africa iin the 1980s I have spent the New Year's eve in a tent somewhere. I have occasionally missed but by-and-large New Year's Eve means camping for me.

Not much chance of doing it here. It's 10degrees lower

Can't you pitch the tent in the living room, be a lot warmer, then you can pretend you're back in Africa.
