Compo 10,328
Well, the tent is now up in the garden and I am all ready for my annual New Year's Eve under canvass. It is blowing quite hard out there but it is not too cold. Last year the tent was frozen by midnight - here's hoping that it doesn't happen this year

Compo 10,328
It is something of a tradition with me. Ever since I lived in Africa iin the 1980s I have spent the New Year's eve in a tent somewhere. I have occasionally missed but by-and-large New Year's Eve means camping for me.
LizzieM 9,528
What a lovely idea Compo ........ mind you, I wouldn't want to do it, certainly not in the North of Scotland on NYE. Have a good night, I hope it's not too cold for you.

Ayupmeducks 1,730
Can't you pitch the tent in the living room, be a lot warmer, then you can pretend you're back in Africa.
