Jonab, yes there are laws and many parents have fallen foul of them, only a few weeks ago a man from Leicester was sentenced to prison for allowing his young son to wander of and drown in a lake. How these two slime balls managed to dodge the consequences of their actions I do not know, some how it seems you are not allowed to even criticize them.

 

It's the little girl I feel sorry for, as to the parents a good kick in the crutch wouldn't go astray.

First thing to do. Put an immediate stop on immigration. Don't bother applying if you have no money or job lined up. No benefits of any kind until 10 years of contributing to UK economy.

limit future immigration, one out then one in. Any illegal immigrant gets immediate deportation, no long distance immigrants crossing many countries to arrive here either. No NHS treatment, see ten year rule above.

CF I as seem to remember it you had to have six months of stamps on your card before you could claim anything anyway. Now folks just turn up and hold their hand out, can't blame them it's the system that is wrong.

When we first moved to Canada.  There was no gov official waiting at the airport to escort you to your govt paid for apartment and give you your first check.  Once through immigration you were on your own.  Stay with a relative or pay for a hotel or sleep on a park bench.  Your choice.  You want money?  Follow the newspaper ads or walk the streets 'til you found employment.  Cause any legal trouble for the first five years other than a parking or speeding ticket and you were on your way home at your own expense.  Nobody complained we all gorronweit.

 

Now you can show up on a rowboat in the middle of an inland lake and claim refugee status.  What went wrong??

I said on another topic the other day. 'I don't want my standard of living diminishing by others greed', and I stand by that.

Charity begins at home, and I deplore our own citizens doing it, never mind Eastern Europeans or people from certain African countries.

I agree with your sentiment Fly but the point I was making was if the system allows it to happen you can't expect people who ever they are not to take advantage, the human race just isn't built like that.

 

If I lived in a mud hut with no sanitation and no way of seeing my way forward then I would see getting into this country as improving my families lot.

 

CF has the right idea follow his guide lines and they won't bother coming in the first place.

 

I remember when my wife's uncle and his family emigrated to South Africa in the 70s, they had by law to employ a servant to try and supply work to the native population. His words to me were "It's useless the black man will sit in the sun all day until he is starving only then will he consider work." Not true of all but certainly some.

It's the political correctness that is gradually stifling all discussion that is not couched in vague generalities.  Makes for a pretty grey existence.  If something offends me I stay out of it.  I don't petition the powers that be to take it down.  As old tricky Dick Nixon used to say. "If ya can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen."
